Alayna Albert

Alayna Albert, MBA, has a strong background in quality control and assurance. Alayna has held multiple roles in various companies, including Tecan Genomics, Genapsys, Roche, Complete Genomics Inc., The Allergy and Asthma Clinic, and San Jose State University.

At Tecan Genomics, Inc., Alayna served as the Product Assurance Lead, where they led investigations for operations, developed corrective measures, and acted as the tech transfer lead for new product introduction. Alayna also generated and revised standard operating procedures, supported QC testing efforts, and participated in audits.

Prior to that, at Genapsys, Alayna held the positions of Manager of Quality Control, Verification, and Validation, as well as QC Manager. In these roles, they built and led teams, wrote and reviewed SOPs and protocols, and worked cross-functionally to create and execute V&V strategies. Alayna also ensured adherence to safety and quality laboratory standards, conducted performance reviews, and drove non-conformance reports and corrective actions.

Before Genapsys, Alayna worked at Roche as a Quality Control Scientist and an Associate Quality Control Scientist. In these roles, they managed technical and logistical aspects of projects, served as an SME for operations QC, and led lean 6 Sigma initiatives. Alayna also performed inspection and testing of materials and conducted data analysis.

Earlier in their career, Alayna worked as a Research Associate at Complete Genomics Inc., where they gained experience in molecular biology research. Alayna also held an internship role at the same company. Additionally, they worked as a Billing Clerk at The Allergy and Asthma Clinic.

Alayna's educational background includes an MBA and a Molecular Biology Internship at San Jose State University.

Alayna Albert, MBA, completed their Master of Business Administration degree at California State University, Monterey Bay in 2020. Alayna previously earned a Master of Arts degree in Biology at California State University - East Bay from 2014 to 2017. Alayna also holds a Certificate in Biotechnology from the same institution, which they obtained in 2014. Alayna'sundergraduate studies were pursued at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from 2008 to 2013.
