Huiyi Chen

Huiyi Chen is a Senior Scientist at Tecan since September 2021, previously holding the position of Senior Scientist for Applications and Technology Development at Genapsys from January 2020 to September 2021. Prior to that, Huiyi served as Principal Medical Laboratory Scientist at KK Women's & Children's Hospital, specializing in the Molecular Histopathology lab, where responsibilities included designing and running PCR and next-generation sequencing assays for cancer detection. Huiyi's experience also includes postdoctoral research fellowships at the Genome Institute of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, and the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research, focusing on synthetic biology, gut microbiome studies, and immunohistology. Education includes a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from Harvard University and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
