Matteo Birolini

Matteo Birolini, MBA, has a diverse work experience in various leadership roles. Starting in 1994, they worked at Schmid Telecom AG, where they held positions as R&D Engineer, Head of Application & Test Center, Head of Operations, and Key Account Project Manager. In 2007, they joined Landis+Gyr and served as Head of Operations, Head of Supply Chain, and VP Quality EMEA, where they had end-to-end responsibility for quality management, EHS, and business process excellence. Most recently, Birolini worked at Tecan as Head of Production and Head of Operations, responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of manufacturing sites. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in Lean six sigma, cost optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Matteo Birolini, MBA, has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Supply Chain from ETH Zürich, which they completed from 2011 to 2013. Matteo also obtained a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from École d'Ingénieurs de Fribourg (FH) in Telecommunications from 1990 to 1993. Additionally, they have pursued certifications in Lean Six Sigma, including a Black Belt from SAQ Swiss Association for Quality in 2017-2018, a Green Belt from SAQ Swiss Association for Quality in 2016-2017, and Internal Auditor certification in 2017 also from SAQ Swiss Association for Quality.
