Bapu Borhade

Bapu Borhade is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as AVP - Head Engineering at Tech Mahindra since May 2023, focusing on product development and IMCR activities for Mahindra commercial vehicles. Previously, Bapu held the position of AGM (Deputy Chief Engineer) for Defence Vehicle Design at Ashok Leyland from July 2015 to July 2023, overseeing the design and development of defence vehicles. Bapu also worked as DGM - Vehicle Engineering at Foton Motors Manufacturing India Pvt Ltd, where responsibilities included vehicle configuration and integration of various truck types. Earlier roles include DGM - Vehicle Design & Development at Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd, Manager - Vehicle Design at Mahindra Navistar Automotives Ltd, Senior Engineer at Tata Motors, and Engineer in Product Engineering at Bajaj Auto Ltd. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Automotive Engineering from Sinhagad Technical Education Society's College of Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cusrow Wadia Institute of Technology, complemented by a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Government Polytechnic Pune.
