Sébastien Morgenthaler has extensive experience in the field of graphics software engineering and 3D development. Sébastien currently works as a Graphics Software Engineer at Tech Soft 3D, starting in December 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Hapticmedia as a 3D Engineer from June 2020 to December 2022, where they developed a 3D engine for online product visualization. Sébastien also improved rendering effects for luxury products.
Sébastien served as an External Teacher at Université de Strasbourg from September 2021 to May 2022. Earlier, they worked at Inria as a Graphics Software Engineer from October 2018 to June 2020. In this role, they created a synthetic data generation pipeline for Image Based Rendering, enabling faster conversion of synthetic scenes and realistic renders for machine learning algorithms.
Before joining Inria, Sébastien completed an apprenticeship in Computer Sciences at IRCAD from September 2017 to September 2018. Here they developed 3D renders for a surgical assistance project and conducted research on hologram offset and calibration for Microsoft Hololens smart glasses.
Additionally, Sébastien worked as a Research Intern at ICube Strasbourg in both 2017 and 2015. In 2017, they integrated a large image viewer into a research project, and in 2015, they performed research work as part of a one-year-long individual project.
Sébastien Morgenthaler pursued their education at the University of Strasbourg. From 2012 to 2016, they completed their Licentiate degree in Informatique. Sébastien further continued their studies at the same university and obtained their Master's degree in Informatique from 2016 to 2018.
