Idris Abubakar

Idris Abubakar has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Idris began their career as an Engineering Intern at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation in 2008. From 2012 to 2016, they worked as an Instructor at Madscience/funscience world limited, where they developed science programs and led workshops for students, parents, and teachers.

In 2015, Idris joined Dangote Industries Limited as a Fleet Analyst, responsible for managing a fleet of 50 trucks and utilizing tracking software to monitor their routes and performance. After that, they worked at First Bank of Nigeria Ltd. from 2018 to 2021, holding roles as a Trade Developer and Digital Geek. In these roles, they managed teams and contributed to the growth of the agent base, transaction volume, and revenue.

Idris then joined Xpress Payment Solutions Ltd. in 2021 as the Regional Lead for the North-East region, where they successfully expanded the agent base and oversaw business relationships and revenue generation.

Currently, Idris is the Head of Operations at Bloc since 2023. In this role, they coordinate and supervises cash centers and agents in the Abuja region, develops and analyzes processes, implements long-term business strategies, and monitors performance.

Throughout their career, Idris has demonstrated strong leadership and strategic skills, contributing to the growth and success of the organizations they have worked for.

From 2008 to 2011, Idris Abubakar attended Kaduna Polytechnic, where they pursued a Higher National Diploma in Geological/Geophysical Engineering.
