David Melendez is a seasoned professional in the medical technology and design sectors, currently serving as Co-Founder at m3dlabs and Fundación Biónica since 2021 and 2019, respectively. At m3dlabs, the focus is on converting patient scans into precise 3D images and models to enhance pre-operative planning and improve patient outcomes. Fundación Biónica fosters collaboration among healthcare stakeholders to innovate in biofabrication and advanced manufacturing. Previously, David was the CEO and Founder of Avant BioMedical, where product design for the medical industry was a priority, and held the position of 3D Technologies Lead at Establishment Labs. David co-founded Plex Studio, emphasizing product design and development, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Product Design from Universidad LCI Veritas.
