Athanasios Podaras

Athanasios Podaras is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in academia and the IT sector. Currently serving as HR Analytics and Controlling Officer at Knorr-Bremse Business Services Europe since January 2024, Athanasios has also held the position of Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Economics at the Technical University of Liberec since April 2013, focusing on research and teaching in informatics. Previous experience includes a PostDoc Researcher role at the same university with research interests in IT business processes, crisis management, and machine learning applications. Athanasios' earlier career at Alpha Bank from January 2007 to May 2013 involved roles as IT Analyst, Programmer, and Project Manager, contributing to business continuity policy formulation and compliance efforts. Athanasios holds a Ph.D. in Information Management from the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, along with an MSc in Informatics and a Bachelor's degree in Plant Production.
