Alessandro Borghi

Alessandro Borghi is a PhD Researcher at Technische Universität Berlin since October 2021, focusing on structure-preserving model reduction for computing exceptional points in thermoacoustic spectra as part of the DAEDALUS project. Concurrently, Alessandro is a selected mentee at LeadTheFuture Mentorship, a non-profit organization supporting top-performing STEM students. In 2023, Alessandro was a Visiting PhD Student at Virginia Tech, collaborating on model order reduction techniques and presenting at a related conference. Past experience includes roles in business development at sparksense, engineering internships at Beckhoff Automation and CNH Industrial, and a technician position at Vista Security Network. Alessandro holds a Master's degree in Systems & Control from Delft University of Technology and two Bachelor's degrees in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from Tongji University and Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna.
