McKenzie Melius

Mckenzie Melius is currently a Researcher PhD Student at Boston University, having commenced studies in September 2025. Prior experience includes roles at The AES Corporation, where Mckenzie worked from January 2021 to May 2025, progressing from Energy4Talent Global Trainee to Sustainability & Impact Senior Analyst. Notable contributions included analyzing the future of energy and developing engineering solutions. Mckenzie also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Tulane University in early 2020, aiding in the transition to virtual learning, and held a Research Assistant position in the Cellular Biomechanics, Biotransport, and Biomedical Acoustics Lab from July 2017 to April 2019, focusing on high-intensity ultrasound applications in cancer treatment. An internship at Applied Medical involved design engineering tasks and software updates using SolidWorks and MATLAB. Mckenzie holds a Master of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering from Tulane University and a Bachelor of Science and Engineering in Biomedical Engineering from the same institution.
