Jens-André Paffenholz is a full professor of Geomatics at Clausthal University of Technology since November 2019, focusing on laser scanning for efficient geo-referencing of 3D point clouds, multi-sensor systems, and the development of 3D geomodeling for underground space utilization and environmental impact assessments. Prior to this role, Jens-André served as a speaker for the research field of Raw-Materials Supply and Resource Efficiency at Leibniz Universität Hannover from October 2006 to November 2019, where responsibilities included leading the Engineering Geodesy working group and engaging in postdoctoral research related to laser scanning and robotics. Jens-André's academic background includes a Dr.-Ing. in Geodesy and Geoinformatics and a Graduate Engineer degree from Leibniz Universität Hannover. Additionally, a brief research tenure as a guest researcher at Curtin University was conducted in 2011 within the Photogrammetry and Laser Scanning Research Group.
