Ph.D. Jose Luis Gonzalez Rugel

PhD(c) Jose Luis Gonzalez Rugel has a diverse work experience. PhD(c) Jose Luis is currently Presidente de Directorio at Grupo Gonzalez since 2023. In 2022, they served as the Past President of PMI Guayas, Ecuador for CAPITULO PMI GUAYAS. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Program Manager Lead at Technisys starting from 2017. From 2015, they held the position of Director de Estrategia y Desarrollo at Escuela de Proyectos - Dipromacom and also worked as a Docente Universitario at Universidad Espíritu Santo. From 2018 to 2022, they were the Presidente de Capítulo PMI GUAYAS, ECUADOR for PMI GUAYAS. PhD(c) Jose Luis also served as the Presidente de Comunidad PM GUAYAS for CAPITULO PMI GUAYAS from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they were a Gerente de consultoría at Paragon from 2014 to 2015. PhD(c) Jose Luis started their career in 2005 as an Ingeniero de Proyectos at SIEMES and later worked as Jefe de Mantenimiento Eléctrico at Unilever from 2002 to 2005.

Jose Luis Gonzalez Rugel is currently pursuing a Doctorado en Administración y Gestión de las Organizaciones (Ph.D. in Administration and Organizational Management) at Universidad Espíritu Santo, with an expected completion date of 2025. Prior to this, they completed a Programa Avanzado de Inteligencia Artificial (Advanced Program in Artificial Intelligence) from Universidad Internacional de La Rioja (UNIR) in 2020. In 2019, they obtained a Master en Innovación y Emprendimiento (Master's in Innovation and Entrepreneurship) from Universitat de Barcelona, and in 2016, they completed a Master en Business Intelligence (Master's in Business Intelligence) from the same institution. In 2005, they earned a Master en Administración de Empresa (Master's in Business Administration) from ESPAE Graduate School of Management - ESPOL. PhD(c) Jose Luis'sundergraduate degree is in Ingeniero Eléctrico (Electrical Engineering) with a specialization in Industrial Automation from Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral.

In addition to their formal education, Jose Luis Gonzalez Rugel has obtained several certifications, including the DevOps Essentials Professional Certificate DEPC, Certified Scrum Product Owner® (SCPO®), Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), and Project Management Professional (PMP), among others.
