Biman Roy

Biman Roy is an experienced academic and social entrepreneur with a diverse background in computer science and social change initiatives. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Techno India in Salt Lake since July 2023, Biman has over 13 years of study in computer science, culminating in a PhD from Linköping University. Biman is the founder of bonforest, an organization focused on using food as a means for social change by creating forest gardens with children. Previous experiences include being a Student Fellow at kanthari, where leadership skills for social ventures were developed, and volunteering at various farms, gaining insights into sustainable agriculture. Biman's educational journey also includes a Master's degree from Chennai Mathematical Institute and a Bachelor's from Future Institute Of Engineering and Management.
