Andre Esser

Andre Esser is a Principal Cryptographer at the Technology Innovation Institute, driving cryptographic research and leading national and global post-quantum cryptography efforts since November 2020. With a robust background in both academia and industry, Andre previously served as a Lead Researcher and Senior Cryptanalyst, contributing to strategic research directions and securing significant grants. Prior experience includes a Postdoctoral Researcher role at Ruhr University Bochum, focusing on algorithmic cryptanalysis, as well as research and teaching roles that span various aspects of cryptography and algorithms. Andre holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics specializing in Cryptography and Cryptanalysis from Ruhr University Bochum, alongside advanced degrees in IT-Security and Business Informatics.
