Christian Piovera

Christian Piovera has a diverse work experience in the fields of laser process and system engineering, condensed matter physics, and optics. Christian started their career as a Teaching Assistant at Politecnico di Milano, where they taught principles of experimental physics and conducted laboratory sessions for engineering students. Christian then pursued their Ph.D. in Physics at the same institution, focusing on the design and development of a time-resolved broadband ellipsometry and magneto-optical experimental setup.

After completing their Ph.D., Christian worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at both Politecnico di Milano and Ecole Polytechnique, conducting experimental research in condensed matter physics and optics. Christian'sresearch activities involved topics such as ultrafast electronic dynamics, ultrashort-pulsed lasers, and non-linear optics. During this time, they gained expertise in ultrafast lasers and their applications.

Following their research positions, Christian joined Technoprobe as a Laser Process and System Engineer. Christian played a crucial role in ensuring continuous innovation and improvement of laser technologies to meet the company's targets. Christian oversaw the development of new laser processes and machines, from planning to implementation in production, and coordinated complex projects and research for innovative solutions.

In addition to their work at Technoprobe, Christian also worked as a Young Researcher at Radboud University Nijmegen, where they studied spin transport phenomena in magnetic nanostructures and spintronic devices. Christian acquired expertise in laser microscopy and spintronics during this role.
