Max Blake

Max Blake has a diverse work experience in the tech industry. Max is currently the Head of Quant Practice at techruiter, where they lead the recruitment of top talent for hedge funds, trading firms, and high-frequency trading companies. Max'sprimary focus is on deep learning research. In 2019, Max co-founded techruiter and helped scale over 80 engineering, product, and science companies.

Max has also worked in various roles at other companies. Max served as an Account Director at ConsenSys and Wayve, where they focused on hiring software and ML engineers for autonomous driving projects. Max was also an Account Director at Firstbase, where they recruited talent for the company.

During their time at Dija, Max worked as a Recruiting Lead and later became a part of GoPuff. Max also worked as the Head of Talent at ZOE and as the Head of Talent at the COVID Symptom Study, advising governments and the public on tackling Covid.

Prior to that, Max worked as a Consultant at iTech Media, helping to scale engineering and infrastructure teams. Max also served as a Senior Tech Recruiter at G-Research, hiring software engineers and research engineers for a leading quantitative hedge fund.

Max's early career includes working as a Technical Recruiter at Babylon Health, where they played a key role in scaling the company and hiring various roles, including server-side SWEs, AI software engineers, data engineers, research scientists, and machine learning scientists.

Max Blake received their Bachelor's degree in Law from the University of Birmingham from 2013 to 2016.
