Jose Zuta Felices

Jose Zuta Felices is a seasoned geotechnical engineer with extensive experience in the mining and engineering sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at Teck Resources Limited since November 2017, Jose provides geotechnical support for projects in Canada and Chile, focusing on rock mechanics, terrain hazards, and tailings management. Previous roles include positions at Klohn Crippen Berger, MMG Las Bambas, Itasca, Ausenco Vector, and ZER Geosystem Peru, where responsibilities encompassed slope stability analysis, ground control supervision, and technical management. Jose holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Tailings Engineering from Universidad de Chile and has completed MSc studies in Geotechnical Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the National University of Engineering.
