Octav Porumb

Octav Porumb is a seasoned professional in the field of engineering mechanics with extensive experience in attributes setting, crash analysis, and virtual simulations for commercial and passenger vehicles. Currently serving as a Technical Manager at TECOSIM Group since November 2021, Octav manages various aspects of vehicle performance, including optimal crash structure, durability, and noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH). Prior roles include Head of Attributes and Head of Simulations at ARRIVAL, where Octav oversaw the definition and virtual approval of EV platform attributes. Octav's career also includes leadership positions at TECOSIM Group, CAE consultancy at McLaren Automotive Ltd., and engineering work at P+Z Engineering GmbH, focusing on occupant safety and structural integrity. Octav holds a Master’s degree in Engineering Mechanics from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca and a degree in Physics Engineering from the University “Babes-Bolyai.”
