Derek Czapek

Derek Czapek is the President of TEDxBrownU, with prior roles as Vice President and Finance and Outreach Co-Lead, where strategic sponsorship packages and partnership negotiations were developed, and outreach strategies were coordinated. Experience as an Energy and Utilities Consultant Intern at West Monroe and a Data Intern at the US Environmental Protection Agency involved significant environmental project work. In addition, as an Influencer Marketing Manager at Candacevfx, Derek oversaw marketing efforts across multiple social media platforms and established partnerships with major brands. A Criminal Law Intern at the U.S. Department of Justice provided legal research experience, and prior roles included serving as a Professional Lifeguard at SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment. Derek is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science and Economics at Brown University, expected in 2025.
