Akira Wijekoon

Akira Wijekoon has over eight years of experience in various teaching, creative directing, and designing roles. Akira worked as a Lecturer at UTS College, the Australian College of Business and Technology, and the National Institute of Business Management, where they taught English, gaming culture, and creative industries. Akira was a Creative Designer at Redbubble, Zazzle, and TeePublic and a founder of Old School Rules!. Additionally, they worked as a Freelance Creative Director, Stage Director, and Drama & Theatre Coordinator. In December 2022, they will join Greenwich College as an ELICOS Teacher & Trainer.

Akira Wijekoon began their education in 1996 attending St Mary's College in Kegalle until 2001. Akira then moved on to Trinity College Kandy, where they completed high school from 2001 to 2009. In 2010, they enrolled in Bachelor of Arts program at University of Peradeniya from where they graduated in 2014. Currently, they are pursuing their Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language/ESL Language Instructor from Open University of Sri Lanka, which they are expected to complete in 2023.
