Jorge Lopez Ortiz has worked in various roles, including Investigador posdoctoral at UADY, Consultor externo at Lavep unam, Illustrator at TeePublic and Society6, Director/propietario at Lebeau Design, and Profesor Investigador Titular and Profesor investigador at UAM Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana. Jorge earned a Ph.D. in urban planning from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and served as a member of the committee evaluating graduate programs in architecture and urbanism at Universidad Veracruzana. Additionally, they worked as a visiting professor at Universidad Veracruzana and a university professor at AmerikeMéxico.
Jorge Lopez Ortiz earned a Licentiate degree in Architecture from the Universidad Veracruzana in 2005. In 2010, they completed a design program in automotive design at Rigoletti and also studied architecture at the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla. From 2013 to 2016, they pursued a postgraduate program in master's degree in Architectural Design Strategies for the Mitigation of Anthropogenic Impact on Coastal Wetlands at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. In 2017, Ortiz completed a Doctorate in Urbanism with a focus on Territorial Planning, Urbanism, and Environment at the same university. Additionally, in 2018 and 2019, they had a doctoral candidacy and academic stay respectively, both in urbanism. In 2020, Ortiz completed four certificates on Coursera, including Innovative Governance of Large Urban Systems, Global Environmental Management, and Urban Nature: Connecting Cities, Nature and Innovation. Jorge also has a diploma in Building with Energy Efficiency and Adaptive Comfort Technology from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, which they obtained in 2022. Ortiz has additional certifications on Rhinoceros and Solidworks.
