Cheryl Goody possesses extensive experience in human resources and payroll management, currently serving as the HR Payroll & Systems Officer at Tees Valley Combined Authority since December 2021. Prior roles include HR & Payroll at South Tees Site Company Limited from October 2015 to December 2021, and HR/Payroll Business Analyst at Sahaviriya Steel Industries UK Limited from May 2011 to October 2015. Cheryl commenced a career in IT as an Incident Manager and IT Business Analyst at HP Enterprise Services and held positions as a Lotus Notes Administrator with both EDS and IBM. Educated at the University of Bradford, Cheryl earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Management and German.

Five unique boroughs. One remarkable region. The Tees Valley Combined Authority was created in April 2016 with a purpose to drive economic growth and job creation, transforming our amazing area. TVCA is chaired by the Tees Valley Mayor and supported by our five local authorities and Business Board. We have already made significant progress and are at the forefront of developing the innovative Net Zero industries of the future such as carbon capture, hydrogen and offshore wind - while also securing Freeport status. Our Mayoral Development Corporations are driving forward regeneration at Teesworks and in Hartlepool and Middlesbrough’s town centres, and we have bold transport plans delivering real and visible change. With local decision-making at our heart, we are passionate about providing opportunities for the people of Tees Valley to live and work in the best possible location – while encouraging business investment and increasing tourism.
