Joanie Vasiliadis

Joanie Vasiliadis is a seasoned digital media professional with extensive experience in leading digital content strategies across various platforms. Currently serving as Vice President of Digital Content at TEGNA since December 2015, Joanie supports 49 local newsrooms in enhancing their digital presence and audience engagement while mentoring current and emerging leaders. Previous roles at TEGNA include Director of Digital Content and Digital Content Manager, where Joanie spearheaded the digital breaking news desk and the launch of innovative content brands. Prior experience at WUSA-TV included directing the digital media strategy and managing the digital department, focusing on audience engagement and collaboration with broadcast teams. Joanie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism from Penn State University.
