Darren Kipp has worked in a variety of roles since 2002. Darren began their career as a Survey Support Officer (Co-op) at Statistics Canada in 2002. In 2003, they moved to Statistics Canada as a System Developer (Co-op). In 2004, they joined Pythian as a Database Administrator (Co-op). From 2005 to 2007, they were a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at the University of Ottawa. In 2007, they returned to Pythian as a Project Manager, Tehama Business Unit and Software Developer/Scrum Master. In 2019, they joined Tehama as a Complaince Manager and Project Manager.

Darren Kipp's education history includes a Master of Computer Science (M.C.S) from the University of Ottawa, obtained in 2008 with a focus in Natural Language Processing (NLP). Darren also obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) from the University of Ottawa in 2004, with a major in Honours Computer Science and a concentration in Math-Sciences. Additionally, Darren has obtained various certifications, including a Certified Agile Project Manager from the Project Management Association of Canada (obtained in 2017), a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (obtained in 2020), a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) from the Scrum Alliance (obtained in 2016), a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from the Scrum Alliance (obtained in 2016), and a Certified SAFe® 4 Agilist from Scaled Agile, Inc. (obtained in 2016).
