Sougata Nair

Sougata Nair has a diverse range of work experience in product design and user experience. Sougata is currently working as a Product Design Lead at Tekion Corp since May 2022. Previously, they served as a Product Design Lead at Coding Ninjas India from September 2019 to February 2021, where they led the design for the public-facing platform and internal CRM/ERP systems. Sougata also expanded the creative design and product design teams and established a design system for maintaining consistency.

Before that, Sougata worked at Teamie from September 2016 to August 2019 as a Senior User Experience Designer. Sougata led the redesign of Teamie's mobile product offerings and developed a standalone mobile product for tablets and mobiles. Sougata conducted UX audits and worked closely with development and testing teams.

Sougata's experience includes working as a UI/UX Engineer at YourDOST - Your Emotional Wellness Coach in 2016, where they designed user interfaces, conducted UX audits and usability audits, and performed on-site user research to improve the internal tools used by counselors.

Prior to that, Sougata worked as a UX Designer/Developer at Digibit Technology Solutions from March 2014 to March 2016, where they redesigned responsive sites and apps and contributed as a PHP developer. Sougata also collaborated with the company to clarify product vision and design strategy.

Sougata started their career as a self-employed Design Consultant from January 2013 to March 2016. During this time, they led the design and development of websites and web apps for various clients, focusing on a user-centered design approach and helping clients define and execute product vision and strategy.

Lastly, Sougata worked as a Full Stack Developer at Skynik Media from October 2012 to January 2013. Sougata designed and developed responsive sites for the company's clients and collaborated with .NET developers for site designs.

Sougata Nair completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Information Technology from Kuvempu University and GNIIT in Information Technology from NIIT Limited, both from 2009 to 2012. Sougata also obtained a High School degree from Vivekananda Mission School. Additionally, Sougata has obtained certifications in various subjects such as Intro to the Design of Everyday Things from Udacity, Human-Computer Interaction from Coursera and Interaction Design Foundation (IDF), and User Experience Design Certification from Udemy.
