Heath Schmid

Heath Schmid is an experienced business development professional with a strong focus on the medical device sector and advanced materials. Currently serving as the Director of Business Development for Medical Device at TekniPlex since November 2015, Heath leads initiatives in the Americas for minimally invasive surgical applications. Previously, Heath directed the global development and commercialization of the Cellene TPE product line at TekniPlex. Prior positions include Director at Uniform Color Company, where leadership centered on diversifying the business beyond the automotive industry, and roles at PolyOne and SABIC, including Regional Sales Manager and Polycarbonate Market Director. Heath's educational background includes an MBA from Grand Valley State University and a Bachelor of Science in Plastics Engineering Technology from Ferris State University.
