Mette Glavind serves as the Executive Vice President and Director at the Danish Technological Institute, leading the Building and Construction division since May 2011, overseeing approximately 150 employees and advanced laboratories. In addition to this role, Mette Glavind is the Chair of ForskByg, focusing on research and innovation in sustainable construction, and holds board memberships with various organizations, including WeBuildDenmark, Innovationsfonden, and the Lifestyle & Design Cluster, enhancing collaboration across industries. Mette Glavind has a Doctor of Philosophy in Civil Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark and completed the General Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Teknologisk Institut udvikler, anvender og formidler forsknings- og teknologibaseret viden til dansk erhvervsliv. Instituttet deltager i samfundsnyttige udviklingsprojekter i tæt samarbejde med førende forsknings- og uddannelsesinstitutioner i både Danmark og udlandet. Teknologisk Institut gennemfører rådgivnings- og standardiseringsaktiviteter, som bidrager til en dynamisk og harmonisk samfundsudvikling. Instituttet medvirker til at styrke den danske arbejdsstyrkes kompetencer via uddannelse.
