Gil Shua has extensive work experience in the field of information security. Gil started their career in 2002 as an Information Security Team Manager at Bank Hapoalim, where they managed a team of security consultants and operations. Their responsibilities included cyber security protection, DDOS mitigation, network security, and vulnerability assessment. Gil also gained expertise in areas such as data loss prevention, security architecture, and VMware security.
In 2009, Gil joined the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange as an Information Security Specialist and Manager. In this role, they guided and controlled business infrastructure projects in terms of information security, managed information security surveys and penetration tests, and ensured the security settings and configuration management of control systems. Gil also provided analysis of information security and cyber threat events and played a key role in designing and architecting secure network and computer systems.
Recently, in 2022, Gil assumed the position of Chief Information Security Officer at the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, further demonstrating their expertise and leadership in the field.
Gil Shua completed their education in Information Security at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology from 2018 to 2019, where they earned a degree in CISO. Prior to that, they pursued Computer Science at The Academic College of Tel-Aviv, Yaffo, but no specific degree information was provided for this period.
