Nicolas Carvallo has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Nicolas co-founded Telaqua in 2017 and served as the CTO. Prior to that, they co-founded Agromonitoreo SPA in 2014 and won the "Capital Semilla's" prize from the Chilean government. From 2016 to 2017, they worked as a LoRaWAN expert at Objenious by Bouygues Telecom, where they were responsible for technical contact with device makers and analyzing client needs. In 2015, they worked as a Manager at Amaris, where they were involved in business development, project management, and recruitment. In 2014, they worked as a consultant for a private investor, evaluating the feasibility of internet connection deployment in underserved areas of Chile. In 2013, they co-founded and served as the General Manager of LiveTrust, a remote patient monitoring system. Nicolas also worked as a freelance wireless sensor networks developer and as a research assistant at iXem lab - Politecnico di Torino from 2011 to 2012.

Nicolas Carvallo's education history begins in 2006 when they enrolled at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Nicolas pursued a degree in Ingeniero Civil Industrial Electrico (MSc in Industrial Engineering) and graduated in 2012. During this time, they focused on various aspects of industrial engineering.

In 2010, Nicolas continued their education at Politecnico di Torino, where they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Telecommunications Engineering. Nicolas completed this program in 2012, acquiring specialized knowledge in the field of telecommunications.

In addition to their formal education, Nicolas obtained a certification in "ATTENDANCE Irrigated Soils" from the Irrigation Association in December 2018. This certification suggests their interest and expertise in the irrigation industry.
