Amber Vargas is an accomplished Materials Engineer with a robust background in materials science and engineering. Currently serving as Materials Engineer II at Teledyne Energy Systems, Inc. since August 2022, Amber has previously held the role of Materials Engineer at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory from May 2019 to October 2022. Prior experiences include positions as a Graduate Research Assistant and Undergraduate Research Assistant at Clemson University, where Amber focused on developing optical fiber through solution doping techniques and mentored undergraduate students. Additional experience includes a trainee role at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory and work as a stagehand at Furman University McAlister Auditorium. Amber holds a Master of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from Clemson University and a Bachelor of Science in Physics and IT from Furman University.
