Frank Gwiriza has a diverse work experience in the field of power management and technical operations. Frank began their career as a Management Trainee at Illovo Sugar Limited, where they focused on designing power systems and preparing budgets for factory improvements and expansions. Frank then worked as a Distribution Engineer at the Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi, conducting site surveys and power system studies for distribution line extensions and system reinforcement projects.
In 2011, Frank joined Telekom Networks Malawi Limited as a Specialist in Operations Audits, where they reviewed operational and technical functions to identify risks and contribute to annual audit plans. Frank later became the Regional Technical Manager, responsible for managing the RAN network, ensuring network quality and compliance with regulatory provisions.
Frank's role at Telekom Networks Malawi Limited also included being a Project Manager, overseeing the implementation of various projects, and an Energy and Sharing Manager, focusing on planning and designing power projects for data centers and BTS sites, as well as managing contractors and suppliers.
Throughout their career, Frank has demonstrated expertise in power systems design, project management, risk assessment, and technical audits. Frank has a strong focus on ensuring the availability and quality of power infrastructure and network operations.
Frank Gwiriza earned a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Malawi, The Polytechnic. Frank attended this institution from 2001 until 2006. Later, from 2014 to 2016, they pursued a Master's Degree in Infrastructure Development and Management from the same university.
