Partner & Customer Success Manager at Telenor Linx

Colin Tan has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Colin began their career as a Polling Executive for Election Systems & Software Inc. in 2002. Colin then ventured into the gaming industry, working as a Business Development Manager for D2eleven.com and as a Partner and Director of Sales and Marketing for Themoofarm Sdn. Bhd. In 2005, they became a Core Founding Member at OffGamers after several mergers.

Colin's career then shifted to the digital services sector, working as an Assistant VP of Business Development for MOL Global, Inc. and MOL AccessPortal Sdn Bhd. Colin later held the position of Head of Business Development at Funnel Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., where they achieved significant revenue growth within a short period.

Colin then joined Ad Booster Sdn. Bhd. as the Country Manager, responsible for the product commercialization strategy. Following this, they worked as a Digital Services Manager at Digi Telecommunications, driving various digital enablement initiatives.

In 2016, Colin moved to Telenor, where they held roles such as Head of VAS - Products & Digital Services, Head Project - Digital Customer Service Journey, and Head of Device, SIM & VAS - Products & Pricing. In these roles, they focused on revenue growth, digitizing customer service processes, and leading teams in implementing SIM and device strategies.

Currently, Colin serves as a Partner & Customer Success Manager for Telenor Linx. In this role, they partner with top players in the industry to provide high-quality software tools and globally scale telecom companies. Colin aims to create larger business successes by being at the forefront of both worlds.

Colin Tan's education history begins with a diploma in the American Degree Program from INTI International University & Colleges, which they obtained from 1997 to 1999. Colin then pursued a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University, completing it from 1999 to 2003.

In 2017, Colin attended the INSEAD-Telenor Strategy Execution Programme, which they obtained through CVTrust. Later that same year, they participated in the Strategy Execution Programme, Digital Transformation at INSEAD.

Colin has also obtained several additional certifications to further enhance their skills and knowledge. In 2017, they received the Strategy Execution Programme 2.0 certification from INSEAD Online Programmes. In 2018, they completed the Operational Excellence Foundations course from Lynda.com. The following year, Colin obtained certificates in Learning GDPR from LinkedIn and Marketing Analytics from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.

From 2019 onwards, Colin acquired various certifications, including Learning Cloud Service APIs, Securing the IoT: Privacy, Machine Learning and AI Foundations: Predictive Modeling Strategy at Scale, and Learning Confluence from LinkedIn. Colin also completed the Agile Software Development: Scrum for Developers course from LinkedIn in 2020. Their most recent certification, Agile Meets Design Thinking, was obtained from Coursera in 2021.
