Desislava Petrova

Desislava Petrova is a Student Success Coach at Telerik Academy. Desislava has also worked as a Mentor at ABLE Mentor and as a Researcher Phd Candidate at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski.

Desislava has always been interested in the fields of personality, educational and organizational psychology. Desislava has conducted multiple empirical studies on HUMAN LEARNING and EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE. Her work as a Mentor at ABLE gave their the opportunity to work with high school students on their projects focused on personal development and professional orientation. This included participating in 3 trainings, co-creating 12 mentor-mentee workshop meetings, organizing 4 meetings with external professionals with diverse background, delivering 2 presentations, as well as intensive inner and outer work in between.

Currently, as a Student Success Coach at Telerik Academy, Desislava is able to continue their work in the field of psychology by helping students reach their potential and succeed in their studies.

Petrova has a PhD in Psychology from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, a Master's degree in Labor and Organizational Psychology from the same school, and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. Petrova also has a certification in coaching and business from the Mentor Masterclass, and has completed summer entrepreneurship programs at Babson College and the Business Institute (Bulgaria). Petrova has a first language certification from the First Language School - Varna, and Certificates of Completion for the Healing With The Arts Course from the University of Florida (offered via Coursera), the Academic Teaching Course from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, and the Facilitation Of Socio-Psychological Trainings Course from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski.
