Sean Wood

Sean Wood is an experienced engineering manager with a strong background in manufacturing and project management. Currently serving as Engineering Manager at Telesis Bio since June 2021, Sean is responsible for the end-to-end manufacturing of automated gene synthesis platforms. Prior roles include Contract Manufacturing Manager at SGI-DNA, where Sean managed contract manufacturing suppliers and supported new product introduction, and Manager of Instrument Manufacturing at Synthetic Genomics, focusing on production assembly and quality improvements. With previous experience in electrical engineering and project management across various industries, Sean holds a Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology and an MBA in Project Management from DeVry University.
