Tei Newman-Lehman

Tei Newman-Lehman is an accomplished professional in the biotech industry, currently serving as the General Manager of Eton Bioscience, a subsidiary of Telesis Bio, where expertise in synthetic biology products and customer service is emphasized. Prior to this, Tei held roles such as Senior Director of Oligo Synthesis and Director of Engineering Innovation at Telesis Bio, contributing significantly to the development of DNA synthesis technologies. As a co-founder of DeepDiveBio, Tei played a key role in assembling a skilled team and securing initial financing. Previous experience includes serving as Senior Systems Engineer at Synthetic Genomics, where participation in the design of the world’s first DNA printer and the Digital to Biological Converter was instrumental. Tei has also co-founded engineering firms RTSystemDesign and RapidRealities, and held engineering positions that focused on high-throughput screening and automation. Tei holds a degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
