Alecia Benzie

Head, Development at Telethon Kids Institute

Alecia Benzie has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Alecia is currently a Board Member at Dress for Success Perth and Co3 Contemporary Dance since March 2021. Prior to this, they served as Head of Development at Telethon Kids Institute starting from February 2020. From May 2019 to February 2020, they held the position of Executive Manager, Philanthropy & Corporate at the West Australian Symphony Orchestra. Alecia also had an earlier tenure at the same organization as Executive Manager, Philanthropy from February 2009 to May 2019. Alecia worked as a Philanthropy Consultant at West Australian Opera in 2007-2008 and as a Public Affairs Manager at Sydney Symphony from 2003 to 2005. Alecia Benzie completed a short course in Exponential Fundraising at Harvard University in 2014-2015. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in an unspecified field of study at The University of Western Australia from 1988 to 1991. In 1999, they obtained a Graduate Diploma of Management from the University of Sydney.
