Samantha Carlson

Senior Research Officer at Telethon Kids Institute

Samantha Carlson's work experience includes positions at the Telethon Kids Institute, National Centre for Immunisation Research and Surveillance (NCIRS), and The Collaboration on Social Science and Immunisation (COSSI). Samantha started working at the Telethon Kids Institute in June 2020 as a Senior Research Officer. Prior to this, they worked at NCIRS as a Research Officer (Social Research) from February 2016 to May 2020. In addition, Samantha worked at COSSI as an Administrator from June 2016 to June 2018. Samantha'sresponsibilities at COSSI included providing secretariat support for committee teleconferences, coordinating membership, managing the COSSI information on the NCIRS website, and organizing biennial workshops.

Samantha Carlson completed their education in a chronological order. In 2009, they obtained their Higher School Certificate from Abbotsleigh. From 2012 to 2014, Samantha pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Immunobiology and Microbiology at the University of Sydney. Following this, in 2015, they completed a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree focused on Infectious Diseases, still at the University of Sydney. Lastly, Samantha successfully earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Medicine with a specialization in Public Health from the University of Sydney in the years 2016 to 2020.
