Genki Sano began their career in 2011 as an Engineer at Sony, where they developed digital camcorders/cameras and video streaming services for professional customers. In 2016, they moved to FOVE, where they served as Technical Director and managed business projects on the development side, as well as developed VR apps for eye-tracking VR HMD. In 2017, they became Co-Founder & CTO at Telexistence Inc., where they managed and developed the Telexistence Robot System Engineering. This included multimedia live-streaming software using Gstreamer, kinematics/dynamics control of multi-link humanoid robots, realtime robot control software, VR software to operate robots remotely, and a cloud operation platform to connect robots in the world.
Genki Sano obtained a Master's degree in Control Theory, Computing, Signal Processing, and System Architecture from The University of Tokyo in 2011. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Keio University in 2009.
