Matthew Skilton

Matthew Skilton currently serves as a Graduate Planning Assistant at Telford & Wrekin Council, starting in March 2024, within the Prosperity and Investment team. Matthew has gained diverse experience through placements in Planning Policy, Enforcement, Validation, Built Heritage, Highways, Ecology, and Building Control. Previous roles include Customer Service Assistant at One Stop Stores Ltd and COVID-19 Vaccination Marshall at NHS England, where responsibilities involved facilitating the COVID vaccine rollout. Earlier experience includes working at Asda in various departments. Matthew's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree with Honours in History and International Relations from Nottingham Trent University, and ongoing studies for an MSc in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Birmingham, along with a course at Harvard University focusing on urban life.
