Margus Pärnsalu

Margus Pärnsalu has extensive work experience in the IT industry, with a focus on various leadership roles. Margus started their career as an IT consultant at Comptuur in 1998. From 2000 to 2003, they worked as an IT Project Manager and Developer at Eesti Telefon. Margus then joined Eesti Telefon again in 2003 as a CRM Development Manager. In 2004, Margus transitioned to Elion Enterprises, part of the TeliaSonera group, where they served as an IT Development Manager until 2007. Margus then took on the role of Chief IT Architect, leading the central architecture team until 2014. During their time at Elion, they also became the Program Manager of the Fulfillment program and focused on Application/Solution architecture in telco OSS and BSS domains. In 2014, Margus joined MP Solutions OÜ as a Consultant and Owner. Later in the same year, they started working at Telia as the Chief IT Architect until 2019, where they were responsible for software architecture solutions in business support systems and customer service platforms. In 2019, they became the Information Technology Development Manager at Telia, heading the Product Development and Fulfillment IT systems DevOps department. In 2020, Margus continued their career at Telia as the Chief Information Officer of the Telia Estonia IT subunit and, more recently, took on the position of IT Director: CRM & IAM at Telia Group. Margus has demonstrated expertise in IT management, development, architecture, and consultancy throughout their career.

Margus Pärnsalu pursued higher education from 1993 to 1996 at Nõmme Gümnaasium, during which they did not obtain a degree or specialize in any field of study. From 1996 to 2001, they attended TalTech - Tallinn University of Technology, earning a Bachelor of Computer Science degree in Informatics. Additionally, in 2019, Margus obtained several certifications, including the TM Forum Open API Practitioner-Level Certification and the TM Forum Open API Foundation Level certification from TM Forum. Margus also achieved the Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) certification from (ISC)².
