Timo Auer

Timo Auer has extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. Timo began their career at UCLA Anderson School of Management as a Visiting Scholar in 1995. Timo then worked as an Associate Professor at the University of Turku in 1997. From 1997 to 2001, Timo served as the Group CIO at Sonera. Timo then held various Vice President roles at Sonera Juxto, Sonera, and TeliaSonera from 2001 to 2009, focusing on product development, new communication services, and IT. From 2009 to 2012, Timo worked as the Vice President of Strategy & IT and later as the Vice President of Product & Process Management at TeliaSonera. In 2012, they joined Telia Company as the Vice President of Product & Process Management and later assumed the role of CIO Finland. Since 2017, Timo has been working as the Director of Telia IT at Telia Company. Additionally, they had a brief role as the Managing Director of Turku Cable TV from 2011 to 2012.

Timo Auer completed their education at Turku School of Economics. Timo obtained a PhD in Business Strategy and Information Management in 1995, a Licentiate degree in Business Strategy and Information Management in 1994, and an MSc in Business Administration in 1989.
