Richard started their career as a Senior Auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1990, where they contributed their expertise in auditing for five years. In 1995, they joined Intera Communications as the COO & CFO, playing a crucial role in managing and overseeing the company's operations and finances for five years. In 2000, they assumed the position of CEO at Telmate, LLC, demonstrating their leadership skills and strategic vision to drive the company's success.

From 1989 to 1991, Richard Torgersrud attended the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business.
