Stephen Corcoran has a diverse work experience, mainly in the fields of cybersecurity and IT support. Stephen served as Chief of Cyber Strategy at Telos Corporation from 2012 to the present, where they provided innovative and advanced cyber capabilities for the Intelligence Community, special operations community, and commercial institutions. Prior to this, they had a long and distinguished career in the United States Marine Corps, starting in 1985 and ending in 2012. During their time in the Marines, they held various positions of regional and national significance, including Commander of the Joint Communications Support Element (Airborne), where they managed a global IT enterprise and led the development effort for innovative technologies. Stephen also served as the Director of Plans and Operations in the J6 Directorate.

Stephen Corcoran has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts from William Paterson University, which they obtained from 1981 to 1985. Stephen also holds a Master of Arts degree in Military Studies from Marine Corps Command and Staff College, which they obtained from 1996 to 1997. Additionally, they have a Master of Arts degree in Strategy and Policy from the College of Naval Warfare, which they obtained from 2005 to 2006. Furthermore, they have received several certifications including Search and Rescue Technician III from the National Association For Search And Rescue, Field Instructor from NOLS, and Master Leave No Trace Instructor from NOLS, all obtained in May and July of 2015. Stephen also holds a Wilderness First Responder certification from NOLS Wilderness Medicine, although the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
