Content Coordinator at Tempo

Lanson Hoopai has diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Lanson began their career in 2012 as a Student at Patrick Henry College, where they received a degree in Government with a minor in philosophy. Lanson graduated Cum Laude with Honors in 2016. During their time at the college, Lanson also worked as a Campus Safety Officer, Summer Teen Camp Counselor, Information Technology Technician, and Office of Development Assistant.

In 2016, Lanson joined Freedom Alliance as a Policy Assistant. Lanson'sresponsibilities included maintaining the organization's online and social media presence, as well as conducting research on public policy issues relating to the United Nations, national sovereignty, and foreign policy. Lanson continued in this role until 2017.

Following their stint at Freedom Alliance, Lanson joined the Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) as a Managing Editor in 2017. In this position, they managed the publication of HSLDA's quarterly print magazine, the Home School Court Report. Lanson curated, edited, and finalized articles for distribution in a timely manner. Lanson also collaborated with the marketing team to draft brand-friendly and welcoming marketing and ad copy for prospective members and customers. Additionally, they trained and onboarded new editors and marketing staff.

In 2020, Lanson joined Tempo Storm as a Content Coordinator. Lanson'sresponsibilities included writing and copyediting website content, email pushes, and marketing copy for Tempo's upcoming strategy title, The Bazaar, and its website at PlayTheBazaar.com. Lanson was also responsible for writing and editing all evergreen content for Tempo's upcoming corporate website, Tempo.

In addition to their professional experience, Lanson Hoopai worked as a Teacher at HSLDA Online Academy from 2016 to 2019.

Lanson Hoopai completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science and Government from Patrick Henry College, where they studied from 2012 to 2016. In August 2021, they obtained a Certificate in Professional Copyediting from UC Berkeley Extension.
