Henri Karhatsu

Henri Karhatsu has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Henri is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Tempus Ex since May 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the CEO and Freelancer for their own company, Karhatsu IT Consulting Oy, starting in March 2009.

In 2021, Henri joined SAP as a Development Expert (AppGyver) and worked there until April 2022. From January 2020 to August 2021, they held the position of Vice President of Engineering at Neverthink, a role they transitioned to after serving as a Senior Developer at the same company from August 2017 to January 2020.

Henri also has experience as a Research Assistant and Scrum Master at the University of Helsinki from February 2010 to June 2010. During this time, they wrote their master's thesis titled "Building a Self-organizing Software Development Team: Multiple Case Study" based on their work in the Software Factory project.

Before their entrepreneurial venture, Henri worked at Valuatum Oy from December 2000 to March 2009, where they held the position of CTO. In this role, they managed projects, products, and technical staff, and was involved in specification, planning, development, testing, and deployments for Java EE and VBA applications. Henri also developed strong customer relationships and handled project management responsibilities.

Henri's earliest work experience was as an Office Assistant at Kamensky Consulting Oy from November 2000 to February 2002.

Henri Karhatsu completed their education with a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Helsinki. Henri pursued this degree from 2005 to 2010. Prior to that, they obtained another Master of Science degree in Entrepreneurship from Helsingin kauppakorkeakoulu, which they completed from 1998 to 2003.
