Iker Huerga

Iker Huerga is the Executive Vice President, Life Science Strategy and Real World Data at Tempus. Iker brings more than 15 years of experience in Oncology Drug Development, Data Science and Technology.

Prior to joining Tempus, Iker was the Chief Data Scientist for Oncology R&D at AstraZeneca where his organization was responsible for all analyses from early discovery to registration; with a particular emphasis on P1-Ph3 clinical trial design. Before that, he was the Scientific Director of Engineering and Applied Machine Learning at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center under the mentorship of José Baselga.

Iker has also founded three startups in the precision oncology space with two successful exits.
