Fazlin Lakay has a comprehensive work experience background in the travel industry. Fazlin is currently working as a Product Delivery Manager at Ten Lifestyle Group, where they focus on enhancing customer satisfaction through the development of cutting-edge platforms. Prior to that, they worked at 24.com, starting as a Senior Consultant and later progressing to roles such as Travel Manager and Product Operations Manager. During their time at 24.com, Fazlin was responsible for operations management, product management, maintenance of online booking tools, driving quality assurance processes, account management, sales presentations, system implementations, customer service management, supplier management, reporting, and mentoring and coaching staff members. Additionally, they played a key role in establishing and managing the customer support service center for corporate clients. Before joining 24.com, Fazlin worked at Seekers Travel as a Senior Consultant and later as a Team Leader, where they provided professional travel consulting services and ensured adherence to service level agreements and correct supplier agreements. Their expertise includes domestic, regional, and international consulting and ticketing using Galileo and Amadeus systems.
Fazlin Lakay's education history begins with their completion of their Matric certificate at Cape Town High School in the year 2000. Following this, they pursued a Diploma in Tourism and Travel Services Management at Damelin from 2001 to 2002. In 2002, they also obtained the BSP certification from IATA.
Fazlin furthered their education by enrolling at the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika, where they earned a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Finance and Financial Management Services.
To enhance their skills in Operations Management and Supervision, Fazlin completed a certification course at Get Smarter UCT in 2016.
Additionally, they obtained several certifications in the field of travel services management, including the GDS certification from both Amadeus and Travelport in 2005 and 2002, respectively.
