Rick Gerber began their career in 1972 as an Electronic Systems Officer for the United States Air Force. In 1976, they moved to Dow Chemical as a Senior Instrument Applications Engineer. In 1984, they joined Intel Corporation as a Staff Systems Software Engineer. In 1996, they left Intel to become a Staff Software Developer at Radisys Corporation, where they led the software team that grew the iRMX business and developed the new INtime for Windows real time operating system product. In 2000, they co-founded TenAsys Corporation, where they obtained the Intel IP license for the iRMX technology and continued to lead the development effort for iRMX for Windows, as well as the co-development of the INtime family of real time operating systems. In 2015, they retired from TenAsys Corporation.
Rick Gerber obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemistry from Utah State University between 1967 and 1972.
