Rick Zou

Rick Zou is a Senior Counsel at Tencent since May 2022, overseeing legal operations for the company's second-party studios in North America while supporting various internal divisions and supervising outside counsel. Previously, Rick served as an Associate at Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz, focusing on video game, technology, and advertising clients, and as Counsel at CJ ENM America, where negotiations for major film and television projects were key responsibilities. Earlier experience includes roles at Lyon Law PC handling employment litigation, internships at Marvel Studios and CJ ENM America dealing with contractual agreements for films and events, and a legal clerkship with the California Department of Justice. Rick holds a Juris Doctor from USC Gould School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government/Philosophy from California State University-Fullerton.
