Bilal Bazzi

Bilal Bazzi is the Chief Operating Officer at Tend. He leads the company’s efforts in maintaining and scaling operational excellence across a rapidly growing number of studios and markets. With decades of experience in leading complex multi-site healthcare organizations, Bilal has a proven track record of implementing and innovating effective systems across nuanced operations to drive differentiation and profitability. Passionate about building team culture and developing top talent, Bilal is a strategic leader who has grown teams in the thousands.

Prior to joining Tend, he served as the interim COO and VP of Veterinary Transformation at Banfield Pet Hospitals, part of the Mars, Incorporated family of companies and the largest multi-site veterinary practice in the U.S., with more than 1,000 locations. During his tenure, he led all internal operations and support center functions, while also transforming the business through the launch of telehealth and mobile veterinary clinics. A pharmacist by trade, Bilal has a deep understanding of patient- and provider-centered operations, and spent 15 years growing his career at CVS Health. At the time of his departure, he led one of the highest performing markets in the company with 143 locations and over 5,300 associates.
